This is right near the top of HDTV’s I’ve seen as far as bang for the buck. While they don’t throw in a lot of the bells and whistles (ie built in apps, tons of connection options), I wasn’t looking for any of that. I just wanted a bedroom TV that looked good and was affordable. This is about as good as it gets in that regard.
While it is only 720p, it is highly unlikely anyone really needs 1080p at a size of 32″. Unless you’re sitting with your nose on the screen, there isn’t really going to be a difference. Blacks are excellent, very close to LED quality. It even includes a VGA input, which is becoming more and more rare for the less expensive sets. Between 2 HDMIs, one component, one VGA, and the antenna, I’m more than satisfied at this price.
TV cosmetically looks fine, no annoying lights while the TV is operating and no ridiculous “touch of color” style stuff like you see on Samsungs (nothing against Samsung TVs, but I hate how the ToC style looks).
Admittedly the built-in sound is kind of “meh,” but again, at this price I’m not expecting theater quality out of my speakers. The built-in speaker is fine for your run of the mill TV watching if you’re just watching Simpsons reruns or whatever, but if you’re settling in for Game of Thrones or Band of Brothers reruns you’re probably going to left wanting if you’re just going through the TV speaker.
Also, off angles are not the best compared to other recent HDTVs I’ve seen. They are not awful, but this is something you’re going to want to be sitting pretty straight on in front of. Pic begins to look a tad washed out as you move to the left and right.
Despite those minor qualms, highest possible recommendation. I’d advise getting the warranty, as due to the low cost of the TV itself, the warranty is very cheap as well (around 30 bucks).
Couldn’t be happier with this purchase so far (about 2 weeks in).
…just be sure to turn off that auto brightness thing (sort of hidden under the energy saver settings in the preferences menu) as soon as you set it up. Yuck.

I have a 10 month old daughter, and she has fallen in love with this toy. I bought this because of its portability and size, but the small package has delivered so much more.
The sound from the single speaker on the back of the ‘Takealong Tunes’ is extremely solid for such a small speaker, not tinny or hollow what so ever. The lights move in time to the music, and the whole thing is light enough for her to easily carry in one hand while she crawls around the house.
The large button-like wheel on the front is extremely easy for her to push, with just enough resistance that it isn’t going off incessantly, and the colorful caterpillar handle is a natural draw to her mouth. The only minor complaint I would have is that I wish the handle were rubberized instead of hard plastic since it is in her mouth so often.
I thought I was buying a good sound & lights toy for the portability since it is not always easy to drag larger flashing, blinking, booping toys around with us, but I feel like I’ve gotten so much more out of this potent little package.
It sooths her when she’s tired, entertains her when she’s awake, and has become her best friend over the past month or so.
I would highly recommend this to any parent, another winner from Baby Einstein!

My new 11 cup Prep Plus just arrived (3 days sooner than expected — thank you, Amazon) and I’m all jazzed to start using it. The DVD that came with the machine is helpful for a food processor novice such as myself as it shows various ways to use it other than the minimum grating and chopping. I’m particulary excited about being able to grind meats and make breads. I was a bit worried about having enough space to keep it on my counter full time, but because of the streamlined shape, it doesn’t take up as much room as expected — and the brushed stainless base is quite attractive. Plus its not really light-weight, so not having to move it in and out of a cupboard is a plus. I recommend getting the disk and blade keeper for the extra attachments that came with the machine. After seeing how sharp these guys are, it seems safer to have them not laying loose inside a cupboard or drawer. So, as Msr. Pepin would say: “Happy Cooking!”

This is truly a great little camera. It is about the size of a wallet and easily fits in my pocket. It turns on fast and is ready for videos or pictures in seconds. It does have a slight delay when taking photos, but it does have a burst mode to take a bunch of photos together. I would recommend burst if you want to catch action. It has face recognition for face focusing, sephia and a host of other modes. The most amazing thing is the underwater shots. You can take pictures and video with sound underwater! It sounds like the movies, and will be amazing, if I were in the ocean rather than a swimming pool… I wish I had this camera at the beach last year! A few months ago my old camera was destroyed at an amusement park when a wave suddenly splashed me. This camera is perfect, waterproof to 5 meters, drop proof 5 feet and cold and dust proof. It even has a vacation setting that can change the time for a pre-determined date range so when you are on vacation, the camera will have the correct date/time. It is the perfect, portable vacation anything camera.

I have had my D10 for over two years and it is a constant companion on our trips. It’s my go to camera for snorkeling or in adverse weather conditions. It has never failed me except for one minor detail that took me a bit of time to resolve. Before I bought the camera I had read owner reviews which described a lens error problem – in fact one owner returned the camera because he couldn’t eliminate the problem. If the lens error appears the camera is rendered useless. I didn’t experience the problem until recently.
I can reproduce the problem when the camera is in the playback mode – simply press the shutter button and the lens error appears. I’m sure that this has happened to others by accident. The way to resolve the problem is to turn off the camera, remove the battery for a few minutes, replace the battery and turn on the camera. Repeat if it doesn’t clear the first time, wait a few more minutes before replacing the battery.
It may be a minor annoyance but the camera is not broken.
Other than that minor issue the camera has been flawless within its limits – as has been noted by others this is not an expensive DSLR and does have limitations. But it will take good quality shots in better light conditions.
I have always had Canon cameras and will remain loyal when I want a replacement.
